WOMAN TO WOMAN

I've been asked that question so many times I've thought of recording my reply.

I mean, who thinks about their sexual orientation? Not me. Certainly not as a teenager.

I thought I was interested in boys but reflecting back I was just going with the crowd.

But then when that kid grabbed my ass in 9th grade and I hit him so hard it knocked him out, I was suspended for a week and the girls shunned me so I was an outcast for all genders.

I dated a few guys in college but I didn't like the party scene, the drunkenness and machoism.

I never dated colleagues in the sheriff's department or with the Secret Service. In the SS I was under cover for 20 years so zero social life there.

Penelope and I relate to the clip below as the lightbulb moment was almost identical for us.

We were in Denver for a girls weekend and getting ready to go out to dinner and the spark hit.

I retired and we moved to Santa Barbara and opened an investigation business.

We've since moved to Vancouver, BC living in False Creek.

So, that is when I knew I was gay!!
