EMPLOYEE SAFETY

How much time, energy and money should an employer dispend on employee safety?

Kamloops, British Columbia

Two employees.

One was stabbed and required hospitalization. Shortly after recovery she was robbed at gunpoint.

Second employee had a knife brandished as the thief made off with products.

The city is applying for a 2 million dollar grant to study crime prevention measures.

Employers can provide vulnerable staff with panic buttons. They have proven repeatedly to be effective and efficient. Make exterior and interior CCTV systems a priority.
