Friends commented about the group's name and felt it not sufficiently inclusive. They suggested that the group reflect & honor Mr. Positive who drove the attitude in Port Alberni, British Columbia for decades.
Winston Joseph organized Multi-cultural Day on Canada Day and brought people, foods, traditions and cultures together to educate and entertain.
His Alberni Times column inspired and influenced many to make the town the best it could be.

Winston was my friend and colleague with whom I had the joy of lunching daily where we would toss around teaching concepts and positive actions we could take with our students.
He had a huge influence on the one Career Day the high school had during our joint tenure, the theme of which was "Empowerment of Women".
