Whether you work 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts, know during that time, the following you will discover:
- You aren’t perfect
- You aren’t invincible
- You can’t and won’t save everyone
- Everyone doesn’t love you
- You will get tired
- You will be disappointed
- You will fail
- You will make mistakes
- You could get hurt
- You may not get to eat
- You may not get a thank you
- You won’t be appreciated
But what you will be, is braver than anyone unwilling to be all of these things to keep your city safe. No one can take that from you. No one.
