HOW DOES A SUSPECT FLEE FROM A STREET INTERVIEW?

How does a person being street interviewed by police flee?

"An officer arrived and identified the 26-year-old man, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release, who was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said the man fled on foot."

Having been the subject of a similar street interview at 3 am in Lower Sahali, Kamloops, BC, there was no way I could have escaped. One Member was interviewing me, there had been a B&E and I was the only two legged person around, and one Member behind me. I guarantee had I boogied the Member behind would have had me down and cuffed instantly.

I can visualize those training sessions particularly when they are taken to the streets of downtown Seattle. Officers were fortunate to learn those skills. Having a suspect flee from right in front of me would be humiliating.
