As part of the crime prevention program the Force asked me to create was an evaluation of the school district's support and cooperation to an active shooter incident.

Based on my information, the Staff Sgt. determined that Members' response to an active shooter at the schools was not supported by the teachers and changed their response tactics.

The following is Nashville, Tennessee Metro Police active shooter response.

The video released Tuesday shows the response from the body cameras of Officer Rex Engelbert and Officer Michael Collazo. Police say the two officers fired the shots that ended the attack, and they are being hailed as heroes both locally and nationwide.
