RCMP MEMBERS DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST! AIDING THOSE IN NEED.
Driving through Hope on the old Hope/Princeton Hwy (British Columbia) last night and saw some PC's stopped in a group with emergency lights on.
Something was happening on the sidewalk. What we saw driving past was just outstanding. Members trying to keep a grizzled old dog safe from being T-boned.

The dog was spooked, a little agitated, and not too approachable. But the members persisted until one won it's confidence.
Little doubt the dog would have met a bad end without them. Can't tell you how my wife and I felt along with others watching.
