I'm a former American. Yes there is such a thing as renouncing citizenship. I was born and raised in the U.S., worked at the White House for several decades and can attest to the authenticity, albeit absurdity of these American idiosyncrasies. # 4 I remember my parents advising me of this numerous times and I always shunned at their advice. If we don't share ideas and philosophies how can we grow as individuals and as a country? That is the attitude which has divided the country for decades, centuries.
