Fortunately for Canadians and the world, that satellite has been replaced by the the RCM, (RADARSAT Constellation Mission) constellation of three radar imaging satellites at a cost of $ 975, built by MDA, a Montreal firm and used exclusively by the Department of National Defense.

RCM consists of three satellites which provide images of the Arctic four times daily and watches the world's surface at an altitude of 600 km.

The Canadian Space Agency operates the satellites using AIS, Automatic Identification System with the capability of tracking every movement on earth.

Social Secrets, out this fall, sees the RCMP, collaborating with the California Bureau of Investigation, the Tampa Bay, Florida Police Department & the Vancouver Police Department, using RCM to track the movements of human traffickers.
