THE ABOVE ATTITUDE IS IDENTICAL TO THE WEST'S PRIOR TO WW2 WHICH ALLOWED GERMANY TO TAKE MOST OF EUROPE.

Chamberlain's attitude was identical and he basically lead England into war allowing the Nazis to be poised on the shores of France for invasion. So Russia is taking back the old Soviet Union territory.
