We ared told that we have to accept this state of affairs. We are lulled into complacency by the sense that the problem is too big and too entranched to address.
We know this is unacceptable. We must take a hard look at howliving under a constant cloud of patriarchal violence affects women's lives evrey day. And we must commit to steadfastly refusing to continue accepting it. Along with that refusal, we meed to have the confidence of know that there is a new, different, proven way forward."

This goes far beyond abusive partners. It extends into every seam of society. Look at social interactions and you see men and women gathering separately. We women are perpetuating the ugliness of patriachalism with our acceptance.
How many times have we turned a blind eye to Uncle Bill's behavior or grandpa fondling children? Change has to be from us!
