SPIKE BELT. YOU GOTTA LOVE THE DEVICE!
I was asked to assist in deploying the BELT to engage a fleeing suspect, much to the chagrin of some Members.

"Police identified the driver and attempted to stop the truck using a spike belt on Highway 5 in a controlled effort to bring the situation to a safe end. However, the vehicle continued to be driven dangerously despite the intervention.
“For public safety reasons, a decision was made not to pursue the vehicle further,” said Sgt. Jason Pole, supervisor of the Crime Reduction Unit.
The situation came to a head when the stolen truck collided with another vehicle near the intersection of Highway 5 and Halston Avenue, also striking a power pole before coming to a stop."
