Unless I'm missing something here, I see this as an exceptional tool. My partner and I patrolled Glacier National Park in Montana catching dope smugglers coming down from Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. On more than one occasion the suspect fled on horseback and I dropped him using a lariat. Similar to the Gaucho's boleadora which is very cool.
