Six Indigenous people have been killed by police in Canada in recent weeks in shootings in Winnipeg, New Brunswick and Nunavut. The deaths Chantel Moore, Rodney Levi and others have triggered protests and prompted calls for greater scrutiny around police use of violence as well as the introduction of reforms, such as mandatory body cameras.
