Evelyn said a responding police officer attempted to arrest a male youth, who began resisting. She said other youths began pulling the officer away.
“While the officer was dealing with that situation, another male youth allegedly smashed the police officer’s windshield with a skateboard, then struck the officer in the head with it, immediately causing injury,”
I totally agree with these supportive posts.
If you threaten an officer you could die!
This person did and did!
Thank you Officer!
Mounties shoot man dead in Hope hospitalVancouver Sun

One man is dead after Mounties responded to a confrontation between two injured people at a hospital in Hope. RCMP said the incident started just before 11:45 a.m. Wednesday with a collision on Highway 5 near the Zopkios off-ramp. Several people were taken to hospital with injuries, including two people who RCMP allege got into an altercation that resulted in paramedics requesting police assistance. “Attending officers responded to the Fraser Canyon Hospital where an interaction occurred between the officers and one man resulting in one officer discharging their firearm,” said a statement from RCMP. The man received medical attention, but died. The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. said the interaction occurred in the hospital's emergency department, which had been temporarily shut down while investigators did their work. It reopened by Thursday morning. In a statement, the Fraser Health Authority says all patients, staff and medical personnel were safe and unharmed. The Independent Investigations Office is a civilian oversight agency that investigates all officer-related incidents that result in serious harm or death even without an allegation of wrongdoing.

This is totally unacceptable! To make matters worse officers were directed to discharge the offenders to their parents...at 11:30 pm. Absurd! How does the RCMP expect to retain let alone recruit with these policies? There are scores of companies seeking workers where they won't be attacked.

No question about this policy. Departments which don't support this are creating an unnecessary danger as noted in the officer in this post.
