"According to reporting by the CBC, Dueck has a history of sexual offences and he has been the subject of public warnings in the past.

Dueck pled guilty to sexually assaulting a person under 16 at an equestrian facility in Kelowna in February last year and was sentenced to two years, less a day, in jail. He spent 240 days behind bars after getting credit for pre-trial detention."
